My tires seem to create a high pitch squeal when I apply the brake
Brake pads are designed to make this noise when the brake pad has come to the end of it's life. When enough of the friction material in the brake pad is worn away, a "wear indicator" will contact the disc and make a squealing sound. This usually means it is time for new brake pads.
